The Journey of many thousand steps on the Second Mountain has begun
For months I have been contemplating leaving corporate life and embarking on the Second Mountain. On 3 October 2022, I have finally taken the plunge. Being out of corporate life for the last 4 weeks has made me very contemplative and reflective of the past and was very drawn to the “puzzle pieces” of life.
Our “jigsaw puzzle” of life comprises of many puzzle pieces, i.e. episodes, experiences, encounters, etc., each of which has its own unique place. Many may just fall in place very naturally and easily, however, there will be some of these “pieces” that may not fit is so comfortably, they may even be some that requires some energy to put them in place as the experiences may just be too painful.
The anecdote of a “puzzle piece” is also closely associated with Autism, which resonates close to home for me, as I have a child who suffers from it. So, the selection of “puzzle piece” was very poignant for me. In my reflection of puzzle pieces, it provided me deeper “insights” to my life and what has brought me here. These “insights” allowed me to truly learn and discover myself and my responses at that time.
To facilitate the journey on my Second Mountain, I have undertaken the task to be the Inculcator-In-Chief of Puzzlepiece Insights. Puzzlepiece Insights, is poised to offer reflective and contemplative interventions through various forms of learning encounters, mentoring and during Crucial Conversations.
